Because your team doesn\u2019t need more pressure.<br \/>\nThey need someone who stays grounded while everything moves.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What Helps in Practice: 5 Concrete Principles<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>These aren\u2019t theories. They\u2019re real practices I see working with leaders and teams every day.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>A. Listen longer than feels comfortable<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The urge to fix things quickly is strong.<br \/>\nBut the real insight often comes just after the first answer.<br \/>\nAsk one more question.<br \/>\nWait a little longer.<br \/>\nLet silence do its work.<br \/>\nSometimes your team doesn\u2019t need a solution\u2014they just need to feel heard.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>B. Acknowledge uncertainty out loud<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Pretending to have it all under control backfires.<br \/>\nPeople can sense bluffing.<br \/>\nTry saying:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know exactly yet. But here\u2019s what I do know: we\u2019ll figure it out together.\u201d<br \/>\nThat builds far more trust than a story full of false certainty.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>C. Limit the number of decisions<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Not everything needs to happen now.<br \/>\nNot everything is equally important.<br \/>\nChoose deliberately: which 2 or 3 things will we focus on this month?<br \/>\nThe rest can wait.<br \/>\nFocus brings calm\u2014and calm builds trust.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>D. Slow down on purpose \u2014 sometimes a real conversation beats a quick decision<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Speed feels productive. But sometimes you need to slow down.<br \/>\nA one-hour talk that gets to the heart of the issue often beats three short meetings that say nothing.<br \/>\nDare to slow down. That\u2019s not weakness\u2014that\u2019s courage.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>E. Stay visible, especially when things get tough<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Leaders who disappear in hard times lose trust.<br \/>\nLeaders who stay present\u2014even without all the answers\u2014gain respect.<br \/>\nBeing visible doesn\u2019t mean having an opinion on everything.<br \/>\nIt means saying: I\u2019m here.
