New plans. Fresh intentions.<\/p>\n<p>And yet, I find myself &#8211; and many leaders I work with &#8211; asking the same question:<br \/>\nHow do we make sure this year doesn\u2019t become unnecessarily heavy again?<\/p>\n<p>Not heavy in ambition.<br \/>\nBut heavy in agendas, decisions, and mental noise.<\/p>\n<p>Because growth itself is rarely the problem.<br \/>\nThe way we grow often is.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What I see at the start of the year<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In conversations with entrepreneurs and leadership teams, January tends to unfold quickly:<br \/>\n\u2022 Goals are clear<br \/>\n\u2022 Energy is high<br \/>\n\u2022 But within weeks, everyone is back in execution mode<\/p>\n<p>Decisions remain with the same people.<br \/>\nTeams hesitate just a bit longer.<br \/>\nAnd leaders feel, once again, that everything runs through them.<\/p>\n<p>Not because the team isn\u2019t capable.<br \/>\nBut because direction, priorities, and ownership haven\u2019t been made explicit enough.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The quiet trap of growth<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Growth tends to amplify existing patterns.<br \/>\nWhat once \u201cworked fine\u201d slowly becomes exhausting:<br \/>\n\u2022 short lines turn into constant interruptions<br \/>\n\u2022 involvement turns into control<br \/>\n\u2022 responsibility turns into burden<\/p>\n<p>Many leaders respond by tightening their grip.<br \/>\nMore oversight. More alignment. More personal involvement.<\/p>\n<p>It works &#8211; for a while.<br \/>\nBut over time, growth becomes increasingly expensive in energy.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The shift that actually helps<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Leaders and teams who grow with focus and calm make a different move.<br \/>\nThey stop asking \u201cWhat should we do?\u201d<br \/>\nand start asking:<br \/>\n\u2022 What truly matters this year?<br \/>\n\u2022 What does that require from leadership?<br \/>\n\u2022 What needs to be organised differently so everything doesn\u2019t flow back to me?<\/p>\n<p>These are not fast questions.<br \/>\nBut they are the ones that create space.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Why now matters<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>January is not the month to lock everything down.<br \/>\nIt is the month to lay the foundation:<br \/>\n\u2022 clear choices<br \/>\n\u2022 clear roles<br \/>\n\u2022 agreements that provide direction, especially when things get busy<\/p>\n<p>Not big or dramatic.<br \/>\nBut deliberate.<\/p>\n<p>And often, that is the difference between a year that drains energy<br \/>\nand a year that gives it back.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Ready to make this concrete?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If growth is starting to cost more energy than it delivers, that is not a coincidence.<br \/>\nIt is often a signal that your organisation is ready for sharper choices in leadership, structure, and collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on where you are right now, I work with leaders and teams in 2026 in three ways:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. 1-on-1 Business &amp; Leadership Coaching<\/strong><br \/>\nFor entrepreneurs and leaders who want to grow without getting stuck in operations, control, and constant firefighting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.
