{"id":3386,"date":"2026-01-14T14:21:01","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T14:21:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dudokconsulting.nl\/?p=3386"},"modified":"2026-01-14T16:17:43","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T16:17:43","slug":"toujours-frapper-toujours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dudokconsulting.nl\/en\/toujours-frapper-toujours\/","title":{"rendered":"Toujours frapper toujours"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Why do I have to repeat everything so often to my team?<\/p>\n<p>That was the question I once asked <em>Leen<\/em>, my very first manager in the corporate world.<\/p>\n<p>He looked at me, smiled, and said:<br \/>\n\u201cGwen, remember this well: toujours frapper toujours.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I asked him what he meant.<br \/>\nHis answer went straight to the heart of my leadership.<\/p>\n<p>Leadership is not about saying something smart once.<br \/>\nLeadership is about repeating what matters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Toujours frapper toujours means:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2013 Never assume your message lands the first time.<br \/>\n\u2013 Never assume people hear it, understand it, and apply it immediately.<\/p>\n<p>Not because they are incapable.<br \/>\nBut because they are human.<br \/>\nWith noise. Pressure. And their own interpretations.<\/p>\n<p>That insight was a game changer for me.<br \/>\nSo important, in fact, that I included it in my first book, My Best Team Ever.<\/p>\n<p>And for years now, I have passed on this lesson to leaders and entrepreneurs I work with.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Because this is what I want you to take away:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Repetition is not weakness. It is leadership.<br \/>\nChecking is not distrust. It is responsibility.<br \/>\nClarity does not emerge when you send a message \u2014 it emerges when it lands.<\/p>\n<p>So the next time you think:<br \/>\n\u201cBut I already said that\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Ask yourself instead:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\ud83d\udc49 Have I said it often enough?<br \/>\n\ud83d\udc49 In different ways?<br \/>\n\ud83d\udc49 And have I checked what was truly understood?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Toujours frapper toujours.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That is how you give direction.<br \/>\nThat is how teams grow.<br \/>\nThat is how you make impact.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why do I have to repeat everything so often to my team?
